When our gastronomic client asked us to bring brand experiences to life on the stunning island of Madeira for its top sales people, we knew the key was not only to deliver an exclusive experience… but also to throw in a bit of the unexpected!
One of our long-standing clients challenged us to create and deliver a stellar sales incentive for their top employees. Given the objective to reward and motivate the 120 guests, we responded with a packed programme of luxury, laughter and once-in-lifetime surprises.
We led all elements of the experience, from the incredible destination, the seamless management of all accommodation and travel and local supplier liaison, to the creation of all event branding and a bespoke website.
The Belmond Reid’s Palace provided the lodgings and backdrop for this opulent weekend, with the hidden spa, subtropical gardens, afternoon tea on the iconic tea terrace, bespoke cocktails and private fine dining ensuring total luxury for our guests.
Immersion in the local Madeiran history and culture included a leisurely island orientation with a cable car ride to Monte Village and a traditional, not-to-be-missed basket ride down the hill into town. A more fast-paced jeep tour was also offered to guests keen to take in the natural beauty of the east side of the Island.
With gastronomy so central to our client’s brand, we created a bespoke culinary experience, with top chefs escorting guests round the local markets and providing cookery masterclasses and demonstrations. Guests were given the opportunity to cook together in a local restaurant and share lunch.
Guests had been warned that they would be attending a local carnival and that costumes would be provided for a truly immersive experience. Adding a little TTA magic touch, we provided the guests with their own float and dance crew so they could experience the carnival from the best seats in the house! With samba choreography and carnival make-up, the result was a spectacular televised carnival experience featuring the guests alongside thousands of islanders.
