Responding to our client’s challenge

Attracting quality audiences of busy digital professionals to customer events is always a tough challenge for even the most high-profile technology companies. This is why our cybersecurity client Fortinet asked TTA to devise a fresh approach to promote their annual Security Day event which was to be held in the Kia Oval in 2025. TTA’s response was to blend humour, creativity, technology, and expert execution to deliver a series of short social media commercials.

“Bowled over” by new technology

TTA’s concept was to ask members of the Fortinet team to promote the Security Day event in around 30 seconds, using as many cricket puns as possible. To bring this concept to life and to emphasise the cricket theme, TTA created a virtual Kia Oval including a “puns not runs” scoreboard, using the latest virtual studio technology and blended this with some cricket crowd sound design.

In the finished promos, the presenters look as if they are delivering their lines from the middle of the ground when it is packed with spectators, and the Fortinet team complemented our creativity with some great scripts and threw themselves into being in front of the camera for a day. “Using the latest virtual studio technology added so much to this project,” said TTA MD Roger Price, “and it has given us so many ideas for future projects.”
