Our Sustainability Proposition
People
- We prioritise the wellbeing and rights of our employees, clients and the communities in which we operate.
- We offer fair wages and benefits, maintain a diverse and inclusive workplace, and support community development projects and our nominated charity partner, Shine Connect.
- We provide sustainability education and training to all our employees on an ongoing basis, as well as a year-round calendar of sustainability initiatives.
Planet
- We continuously look for ways to decarbonise our own business operations and the events we deliver on behalf of clients and offset any unavoidable emissions.
- We use a data-driven process to minimise adverse environmental impact (waste, pollution, resource consumption) up and down the value chain.
- We operate sustainable sourcing from ethical suppliers and promote lower-impact practices throughout the value chain.
- We track and report on sustainability metrics including carbon footprint, resource consumption and waste diversion rates, and use this data to improve our sustainability performance over time.
TTA is proud to announce share that the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) has approved our near-term science-based emissions reduction target. TTA has also committed to set long-term emissions reduction targets with the SBTi in line with reaching net-zero by 2050. This approval confirms that our targets are aligned with the latest climate science and support the global effort to limit temperature rise in line with the Paris Agreement.
Our approved targets cover our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, as well as relevant Scope 3 emissions across our value chain. We are committed to measuring and publicly reporting our progress on an annual basis and to continually reviewing our approach as standards and best practice evolve. Please see our targets below:
Near-term Target: TTA commit to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 42% by 2030 from a 2023 base year, in line with a 1.5°C pathway. TTA also commits to measure and reduce Scope 3 emissions, which represent the vast majority of their footprint, by engaging suppliers, reducing travel impacts, and promoting low-carbon practices.
Long-term Target: TTA commits to reach net-zero GHG emissions across its value chain by 2050 from a 2023 base year. As part of this commitment, TTA will reduce absolute Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions by at least 90% (723.6 tCO2e) by 2050, consistent with limiting global warming to 1.5°C. Any residual emissions that remain at net-zero will be neutralised with permanent carbon removals.
SBTi validation provides independent assurance that our climate goals are credible, measurable, and grounded in science. This milestone represents an important step in our wider sustainability journey and reinforces our commitment to reducing our environmental impact over time.
