A wild and unforgettable reward programme

When an international private equity firm challenged us to create a high-profile branded incentive experience to reward its employees, we had one job: to design and deliver a once-in-a-lifetime programme that would raise the bar even higher than the company’s previous rave-reviewed event.


The Brief

We were engaged by an international private equity firm to design, develop and deliver a high-profile, branded incentive experience to reward and recognise its employees. The six-day programme would be split between the South African twin centres of Cape Town and Sun City. 

Reflecting the client’s commitment to environmental and social responsibility, we were briefed to deliver creative dining experiences that met stringent animal welfare and sustainable farming criteria. This would require a signed declaration from all venues, hotels and caterers relating to the provenance of their produce. 


The TTA Experience

Collaborating with local partners, we devised a bespoke activity programme for the 223 delegates, plus themed entertainment in each location with pre-party pampering and valet services. The unforgettable itinerary featured game drives and walks, a Malaysian cookery course, a tour of Robben Island, and unique experiences including sandboarding, mountain hiking, fire-walking on the beach and kayaking with penguins. A further highlight of the trip was a night under the stars in an exclusive, purpose-built luxury camp in the bush of the Pilanesberg National Park – a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Uniting delegates from London, New York and Hong Kong required us to co-ordinate a total of 145 flights, including charter flights from Cape Town to Sun City, together with ground transportation, and luxury accommodation in every location. 

Having conceptualised the event’s look and feel, we produced a bespoke website to invite delegates and build anticipation with pre-event communications and destination teasers. We designed and produced imaginative, branded assets and merchandise for the end-to-end programme, and created goody-bags for the delegates’ stay in the luxury camp packed with toiletries, hats, head-torches and blankets. Throughout the event itself, we managed the programme onsite, including VIP transfers and all delegate hospitality.


The Outcome

The programme was a huge success, delivering considerable wow factor with a truly unique experience from start to finish, and leaving delegates feeling rewarded and inspired to take their performance to new levels. We are currently planning another memorable international programme for 2019.
